Lexington Little League Softball hopes to place teams in the 10U, 12U, and 14U age divisions, depending on enrollment and qualified coaches. Travel teams are put together for each age group, which is based on grade as it is in the In-Town Spring season.
Games are played twice a week, usually Mondays through Thursdays, but occasionally some Fridays.
Fall travel softball is more competitive relative to the spring. There are higher expectations for commitment and attendance but vacations are expected, and can be worked around if communicated in advance to coaches. Tryouts are a possibility depending on level of interest.
When Are Games and Practices?
Run by USA Softball of Massachusetts, the Middle Essex season usually runs from the beginning of September through the the middle of October. There are two games a week and additional practices. All games are played on evenings from Monday-Thursday. Practice nights vary by coach and could include a Sunday evening.

Where Are the Games?
Home games are played in Lexington, and road games are played in towns in and around Middlesex and Essex Counties.
ASA Age Classifications for Fall 2023
ASA/USA rules determine a player’s eligibility with a January 1st cutoff for the current season. Here are the grade classifications for 2023:
